Shedding is inevitable for many breeds, but there is no such thing as a completely non-shedding dog unless it's hairless.
While some dogs shed seasonally, others shed throughout the year and leave a seemingly never ending trail of hairs wherever they go. For dogs that have a normal shedding amount, a specialized de-shedding treatment is highly recommended. However, if you feel that your dog should not be shedding as much due to breed or other factors, we recommend a visit to your vet.
While some hair can be removed with a simple brush, comb or slicker brush, the majority of the undercoat stays put. It is highly recommended that special treatment be given to ensure all the shedding coat is removed to help with skin and temperature regulation. These types of treatments can only help to create a happier, healthier dog!
